AI Research Lab
We're building the future of AI for physical health.
We don't automate healthcare paperwork. We automate care. By combining computer vision with clinical reasoning, we build systems that perceive movement, adapt guidance in real time, and scale personalized MSK care to everyone who needs it.

Our work bridges the gap between fundamental research and clinical application, tackling open problems at the intersection of machine learning, computer vision, and digital health.
Measuring and Interpreting Human Movement
How can our technologies interpret a member's movements and their surroundings? We are tackling open problems in computer vision applications to health, like inferring precise human biomechanics in uncontrolled spaces or quantifying subtle changes in range of motion and movement quality to objectively measure recovery progress and physical ability.
This involves solving complex computer vision challenges such as handling diverse body types and variable visual conditions to bring clinical-grade motion analysis to commodity mobile devices.
TrueMotion™
Our proprietary computer vision technology, tracking complex movements on standard smartphones and tablets for real-time feedback and detailed motion analysis across millions of members worldwide.
The Intelligent, Empathetic Care Companion
How do we build an in-app assistant with eyes, ears and a voice that communicates with the nuance and empathy best suited to each individual? We are researching how to move beyond scripted interactions to create agents that can dynamically customize care programs, provide education in context, and motivate members to stay consistent.
Our goal is to develop reasoning models that can effectively supplement a member's human care team, providing personalized support 24/7 — drawing on computer vision inputs to understand how members are moving and adapt guidance accordingly.
Robin AI Assistant
Our AI care assistant for pain flare-ups, delivering immediate, automated support when members need it most.
Scaling Clinical Excellence & Expanding Health Frontiers
How do we enable a care team to support millions of members while providing focused attention exactly where and when it is needed most? We are exploring methods to surface critical clinical insights from vast streams of data to optimize human intervention.
Furthermore, we are investigating how these AI and computer vision capabilities can extend beyond musculoskeletal health to new domains where non-touch care can be provided digitally.
Clinical AI Tools
AI tools that augment our human care teams, surfacing critical insights to allow providers to focus on complex member needs.
